Swindon-based software services company Appsbroker has signed an agreement with Gloucester Rugby to become its official data partner for the 2022/2023 season. As one of the largest Google Cloud-only partners in Europe, Appsbroker will create a dynamic reporting dashboard using Google Cloud, offering the club detailed reporting and data analytics for the first time.

“This is all about improving the way we gather, manage and use our data, so that we continually improve the experience our fans and business partners have when they’re interacting with us. From our first meeting, Appsbroker impressed with their real-world knowledge of how to enhance our digital performance using Google Cloud products and tools.”

Appsbroker Founder and CEO Mike Conner first visited Kingsholm with his family in 2014, when his daughter Emily was invited by the club to be a matchday mascot (pictured). For Mike and those around him, this was a clear expression of the club’s culture of actively embracing everyone in the local community, working with schools and promoting girls’ sports – work which continues today.

“There’s a clear pathway for players from nearby schools to join the Academy,” Mike explains. “From an ever-increasing investment in the Gloucester-Hartpury women’s team to the Gloucester men’s senior team packed with home-grown talent. I’m immensely proud to support this much-treasured club in finding new and innovative ways to connect with fans.”

The deal means Appsbroker and Google Cloud branding will feature on the official Gloucester Rugby and Gloucester-Hartpury playing kit and the iconic Shed stand in traditional club colours.

“Appsbroker is synonymous with purple,” said Mike. “But it feels right to appear alongside Google Cloud in the famous Cherry and White of Gloucester Rugby. From the most atmospheric stand in club rugby to pride of place on the players’ kit, I hope we can deliver extraordinary results on and off the pitch together.”
